Notes
- Mentioned in the will of her sister-in-law Sarah Mutlow (died 1862), in which she is to receive two volumes of plates: the "Genus of European Art" and Paxton's "Botanical Work" (the second having been given to Sarah by her father Benjamin).
1871 census: age 46 born Droitwich, living with her first husband, 2 children and 3 servants in Ledbury.
Her first husband had died by the time of the 1881 and she had remarried to a John Rumsey, who had an income from Land Rents; they were living at 1 Elm Grove Road, Westbury on Trym, Glous, with her younger son Alfred and 2 servants; Caroline's age is
given as 53 (five years older than her husband) but she may have been 56.
1891 census: living at 1 Elenfron Road Westbury with her husband ("living on own means") plus 2 sons, a grandson and three servants; age given as 57 (though more likely to have been 66).
Neither she nor her husband located in the 1901 census, perhaps both deceased.
