Notes
- Age 81 at the date of his death and burial in East Bridgford according to the parish register (information from Nina Ella, who supplied a great deal of family history information to Richard Watkins in 1999), which gives his year of birth as about 1716.
No record of his baptism at East Bridgford, but assumed to be the son of George and Mary Mason, who had children baptised there in the period 1718-1724.
He and his wife had eight children baptised at East Bridgford in the period 1744 to 1764.
He is probably the George Mason who was Village Constable in 1752: Du Boulay Hill's history of East Bridgford Notts, p.154 records a payment of 2 shillings to him "after paying Hodginson for making up my account and assisting me in making my levy".
