- Baptised Paull as "John son of John Ombler of Thorn and ffrances his wife".
Married Christiana Miller of Thorne in August 1699. Twin children (of John Ombler) baptised at Paull in 1706, but no others baptised there until 1715 (Jane, daughter of John Ombler of Thorngumball and Christiana his wife). Long gaps between these
baptism, so possible that other children were baptised elsewhere: note a Mileah (daughter of John Ombler) and a John (son of John Ombler) baptised at Hedon 2 Aug 1711 and 8 Feb 1713/4 respectively - although this would mean that the John Ombler who was
baptised at Paull 30 Jan 1706/7 must have died young: Hedon & Paull burial registers should be checked).
